Authorizing employees’ availability change requests using WorkMail

Employee availability change requests do not take effect until a supervisor has approved them.

To use WorkMail to approve or reject individual requests:

  1. Select Messages.
  2. Click the From field of the Availability Interaction request.
    The Availability Pattern Change Request form is displayed. The form displays modified availability patterns, the employee’s comments related to the request, and the employee’s original availability.
  3. Select Yes to accept the request.
  4. Specify any comments to respond to the request in the Comments field.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. Click OK.
The employees’ availability patterns are adjusted as appropriate. Once you accept or reject a request, the request is removed from your Inbox and a notification is sent to the employee.
