Cross-store schedule generation

You can generate schedules for multiple locations in the same Auto-Assignment process. This can be used, for example, to schedule multiple stores in the same city that can be assigned staff from a shared pool of employees. All locations selected to generate a schedule must use the same Schedule Requirement Interval in their location setup. The locations also must use the same Budget Type.

You can select multiple locations when manually generating a schedule. To schedule those locations, you can select one Auto-Assignment group that covers all employees eligible to work in those locations. You can alternatively select multiple groups to cover different sub-sets of the employee pool. When the schedules are generated, employees selected by the specified Auto-Assignment groups may be assigned shifts for any of the locations as required to cover the workload requirements. The Workmail message sent out after the schedules are completed contains links to open the generated schedules for each location in the LFSO Schedule screen.

You should consider including the Honor Employee Team Assignments rule in Auto-Assignment groups that are used for cross-store scheduling. This rule ensures that employees are only assigned to stores where they have membership in the corresponding team. This allows you to use employees’ team membership to manage the stores that an employee can work in. When this rule is not used, employees are given temporary team membership when assigned to shifts for teams that they are not members of.
