Multiview Scheduler (MVS)

Enhancements for Central Staffing

These enhancements have been added to the Central Staffing screen:
  • The Float Pool Zone can be hidden or shown.
  • Multiple teams can be selected in the Float Pool Zone.
  • Presets have been updated to save the current Central Staffing layout, including if the Float Pool Zone and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) panel are shown or hidden.
  • Unassigned shifts can be sent to the Shift Billboard.

See the Infor Workforce Management Multiview Scheduler User Guide.

Links for unassigned shift swaps

A new shift link type has been added for unassigned swapped shifts. These shifts are created when an employee is swapped into an unassigned shift. In the swap transaction, the employee is assigned to the unassigned shift, and the employee's original shift is booked off, using the book off code specified in the SWAP_BOOKOFF_CODE registry parameter. The original shift is linked to an unassigned relief shift with an unassigned swapped link. A migration has been added to convert existing unassigned swapped shifts to the new link structure.

See "Shift states" in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide.

Transaction locks

Transaction locks are added to shifts in MVS when a user performs a transaction on the shift. This prevents the shift from entering an invalid state because of transactions performed simultaneously by other users. New transactions performed on a shift during the locking or unlocking process may be held until the locking or unlocking process is finished. New transactions that are duplicates of the original transaction are canceled with a transaction lock error. New transactions are canceled if they cannot pass the regular shift validations due to changes performed in the original transaction.

The Unlock Shift Task has been updated to remove transaction locks that are older than the specified timeout time. This prevents shifts from being stuck in transaction locks in rare cases, such as when exceptions occur during a transaction.

See “Transaction locks” in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide.
