Multiview Scheduler (MVS)

Automatic schedule cleanup on employee termination

You can configure MVS to automatically unassign employees from their shifts starting on the termination date. When this feature is enabled, upon employee termination, employees are unassigned from MVS shifts and from rows in Master Rotations and One-time Schedules. Any pending employee requests, including time off requests, shift swap requests, or Shift Billboard Requests, are also rejected starting on the termination date. Specified employees in the team hierarchy, such as team supervisors, are notified after the schedule clean up process is completed.

Schedule cleanup for terminated employees is enabled by setting the ENABLE_EMPLOYEE_TERMINATION_TRIGGER registry parameter to TRUE. The Schedule Cleanup Task must also be scheduled in the job scheduler. Employee schedules are cleaned up when employees are terminated using an employee override or HR import.

See "Employee termination cleanup" in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide.

Automatic unassignment of shifts that overlap with imported LTA overrides

Schedules in MVS are automatically adjusted to avoid conflicts with long-term absence (LTA) overrides that are imported using the Work Detail Import interface. When an LTA override is imported that overlaps a shift, the shift is unassigned if it was created as an ad-hoc shift or if it was created from a shift template. The shift is sent to the Relief Queue if it is a published shift that was created from a Master Rotation or One-time Schedule. When a shift that overlaps an LTA override is unassigned or sent to the Relief Queue, a Workmail notification is sent to the employee's home team supervisor.

Note: It is not recommended for customers using MVS to perform work detail overrides or schedule detail overrides using the Work Detail Import interface. Imported schedule modifications may cause mismatches between MVS data and timesheet data or other undesired results.

See "Work Detail Import" in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide.

Keep time off requests when canceling book offs

When canceling book offs created from approved time off requests in ASV or Central Staffing, you have the option to keep or cancel the associated time off requests. Time off requests that are kept are reverted to Pending Approval status, which allows the approver to approve or reject the request again. Time off requests that are canceled are set to Recalled status. The documentation includes examples of how time off requests that cover multiple days or multiple shifts on the same day can be kept or canceled.

See "Canceling booked off shifts resulting from approved time off requests" in the Infor Workforce Management Multiview Scheduler User Guide.

Mobile Shift Offer support

The Mobile Shift Offer feature is supported in multi-tenant deployments. This feature can be used to offer unassigned shifts to employees via text message (SMS), phone call (IVR), or email. Customers using this feature must use the third-party JDA Vortex service.

See "Configuring Mobile Shift Offer" in the Infor Workforce Management MVS Implementation and Administration Guide.
