Recording breaks

The application creates employee's schedules based on their assigned shift pattern. These patterns can include a schedule of break start and stop times. If they do, breaks are included as part of the employee's schedule.

If configured, you can use the break information in the schedule to record breaks.

Note: You might not see the break information on your Weekly Timesheet because it is an optional component. A parameter set by your system administrator determines whether it is displayed.

An employee can modify the break times to reflect these circumstances:

  • Taking a break when a break was not scheduled.
  • Not taking a scheduled break.
  • Taking a longer break than scheduled.
  • Taking a shorter break than scheduled.
