Making existing rules date effective

You can make existing rules date effective by defining the time period during which you want the rules to be effective. This rule creates blocks of dates based on the rule’s specified date range.

If the start and end date are the same date, then these two periods are created:

• From 01/01/1900 to the specified date
• From the specified date to 01/01/3000

If the rule’s start and end dates span more than one date, these three time periods are created:

• From 01/01/1900 to the effective start date of the rule (the period before the rule addition/change took effect)
• The rule’s effective date range
• The effective end date of the rule to 01/01/3000 (the period after the rule addition or change, when the rule disappears or reverts back to the previous state)
