The Payroll Close Wizard

The Payroll Close Wizard lets you generate a payroll export file for different Payroll Close types by following a simple process. After all Payroll Close setup procedures are completed, you can use the Payroll Close Wizard to create the payroll export file and ensure that employees are paid correctly. See Payroll Close setup.

The Payroll Close Wizard supports these Payroll Close types:

• On-cycle export: Allows for regularly scheduled payment of employee records. For example, if employees were paid on a weekly basis, this type is a regularly scheduled weekly or bi-weekly export.

  The on-cycle export also includes adjustments made to previous pay periods (unless they have already been exported with the off-cycle adjustment export).

• Off-cycle export for terminated employees: Allows terminated employees to be paid immediately upon termination, without having to wait for the regular payroll run.
• Off-cycle export for retroactive adjustments: Allows employee retroactive adjustments to be paid immediately, without having to wait for the regular payroll run.
