Configuring the clocking actions that are displayed

As a system administrator, you can configure the order in which the clocking actions are displayed in the Clock Preset maintenance form. You can also add more clocking actions or remove any of the existing actions. A maximum of six clocking actions can be displayed in the clock modal. Additional clocking actions are displayed at the top of the Clock Options modal, respecting the widget order.

Note: The TSDOCK, UNKNOWN, and DIRECTIONLESS clock presets are not supported in the Self Service Portal.
  1. In the desktop application, select Maintenance > Reader Setup > Clock Preset. The clock presets defined for your organization are displayed.
  2. Click Edit beside the clock preset to change.
  3. Optionally, update the clock preset name in the Name field to change the name of the clock action button.
The preset name is also displayed in the last clock details at the top of the floating action button.
  4. Specify the relative position of the clocking action in the Widget Order field.
By default, the ON preset action is displayed at the top in position 1, followed by the OFF preset action in position 2, and so on.

You can add more clocking actions by specifying the relative position of the preset in the Widget Order field. For example, to add a seventh clocking action at the top of the Clock Options modal, specify 7 in this field.

Only the clock presets that have a value in the Widget Order field are displayed in the Self Service Portal.

  5. Optionally, specify the color that is used to render the icon of the clock action in the Color lookup.
If you do not specify a color, then the portal theme color is chosen as the color of the icon.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click Return to form listing.
  8. Repeat the previous steps until you have specified the relative positioning of all the clock presets to display in the Self Service Portal.
  9. Clear the application cache to ensure that your changes take effect.
See "Unloading the cache" in the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.
