Overview

The Supervisor Approval Worksheet (SAW) enables supervisors and managers to edit and approve employee timesheets that comply with rules. The rules are defined by the administrator based on scheduling and payroll requirements.

An employee's time is entered into the system through physical clocking devices, proximity readers, virtual clocking devices, and interfaces from external timekeeping. After the time is entered, the system applies the payroll rules. The payroll rules are provided by the calculation group that is assigned to the employee.

If the clocking times comply with the schedule and payroll rules, the employee's time for the day is automatically approved by the system.

If a rule is violated, the system does not approve the time. Then the supervisor or manager can use the SAW to approve the time before the timesheet is exported to the payroll system.
