To properly support the mass configuration of staffing requirements across your enterprise, location types must be defined that are applicable to drivers defined across all stores and are unique within your stores. Effectively what this allows you to do is to associate an additional named attribute to your drivers to enhance the clarity of what each driver is intended for and allows us to aggregate staffing requirements of the same “type” across stores within the organization.

The upgrade task does not alter the existing setting of location type within drivers across your enterprise. This step is a MANUAL step that must be thought out and run by each client before performing Mass Configuration operations on Staffing Requirements.

For example, a ‘TV Sales’ location type can be defined as a single driver unique to each store across your organization. Within the Configuration Editor, this driver allows system administrators to aggregate staffing requirements and do mass editing.
