Editing Entities

You can use the Configuration Editor to edit any entity individually. You can also use Editor to edit all entity types except for staffing requirements, multiple entities at a time. Staffing requirements can only be edited one entity at a time.

When multiple entities are selected in the Results section and you click Edit, the edits you perform are applied to all selected entities at the same time.

To edit an entity or entities:

  1. Select Scheduling > Schedule Optimization > Setup > Configuration Editor.
  2. Select or search or refine the entity type that you want to edit.
    The corresponding entities are displayed in the Results section of the Details Pane.
  3. Select the list items you want to edit in the Results section.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Modify the fields as necessary.

    When multiple entities are being edited:

    • Fields marked *unique* cannot be edited. The application requires the specified field to have a single, unique value.
    • Fields marked single-value indicate all the selected entities share the same value for the field.
    • Fields marked multiple-value indicate the selected entities have different values for the same field. You can click the accompanying link to expand the window to display a list of all the field values and the number of selected entities that have that value.

  6. Click Save.
