Productivity standards

To convert the forecasted volumes for each driver into workload hours, a productivity standard is applied. That standard can be one of these types:

  • Standard Volume Per Hour: The most common type of staffing standard reflects how much work one employee can handle in one hour.
  • Standard Volume Per Day: A rarely used type of staffing standard that reflects how much work one employee can handle in one day.
  • Service Level Target: A standard that indicates the number of minutes one employee requires to handle one unit, transaction, or other unit of work. This option is commonly used for call centers.
