Schedule costing relationship with Timesheet cost

The schedule cost may differ from the actual cost incurred when the schedule is executed. The schedule cost displayed in the LFSO Schedule screen assumes that employees work all scheduled time with no deviations. For example, if an employee is scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the cost calculated for this shift assumes the employee will work the exact shift down to the minute, including any breaks. When the Time and Attendance algorithm is used, any core and custom pay rules are factored into the cost calculation based on an employee's scheduled time.

The actual time that an employee works can be changed if the employee records clocks outside the exact times of their shift. The employee would then be paid according to the actual hours worked. Clocks recorded outside the scheduled shift times can also trigger additional pay rules. In either case, the employee's actual compensation would be different than the schedule cost displayed.

Schedule edits made in the Timesheet can also affect the actual cost. The cost displayed for LFSO shifts is updated for schedule detail overrides, which can change the actual cost of the schedule. Shifts created in the Timesheet are also included in the cost calculations.
