Creating teams

The team hierarchy is typically created using the Team Import Interface. However, if the Team Import Interface is not used, teams may be created manually within the system.

  1. Select Maintenance > Security > Team Security > Team.
  2. Click Create New Entry.
  3. Specify this information:
    Team
    Specify the name of the team.
    Description
    Specify a brief description of the team.
    Team Type
    Specify the type of team from the drop-down list.
    Team Parent
    Specify which parent team the team should belong to using the lookup, if necessary.
    Note: Based on the hierarchical structure of the Security Model, users who are authorized to view employees in the parent team are also authorized to view employees in all the teams below them.
    Hours of Operation Set
    If you are using default hours of operation, select the hours of operation set for this team.

    This selection is not common practice. Hours of operation are typically maintained as a date-effective set of hours.

  4. Click Save.
