Subscribing to a threshold

Fair scheduling thresholds can apply to many different employee groups. To minimize the number of thresholds that must be configured, multiple calculation groups or teams can subscribe to a common threshold.

  1. Select Maintenance > Schedule Settings > Fair Scheduling > Thresholds.
  2. Click Edit next to the threshold that you want to subscribe to.
  3. To subscribe by calculation group, click the new row icon in the Calc Group section, and specify this information:
    Calculation Group
Select the calculation group that subscribes to the threshold.
    Start Date
Select the first day on which the calculation group subscribes.
    End Date
Select the final date on which the calculation group subscribes. If there is no end date, specify 01/01/3000.
  4. Click Save to save the calculation group subscription.
  5. To subscribe by team, click the new row icon in the Workbrain Team section, and specify this information:
    Team
Select the team that subscribes to the threshold. Only the teams that you have access to are displayed in the lookup.
Note: The calculation groups for the employees in the selected team must include pay rules to ensure the correct pay of any violations.
    Start Date
Select the first day on which the team subscribes.
    End Date
Select the final date on which the team subscribes. If there is no end date, specify 01/01/3000.
    Match Home Team
Select this option to consider an employee's home team (as of the scheduled date) instead of their scheduled team when determining fair scheduling violations.

By default, this option is cleared; an employee's scheduled team is used to determine fair scheduling violations.

    Apply to Subteam
Select this option to consider the subteams of the selected team when determining fair scheduling violations.

By default, this option is cleared; subteams of the selected team are not considered.

  6. Click Save to save the team subscription.
