Setting Up Employees to Use Biometric Clocks

The configuration steps within the WFM application are slightly different for employees who use the biometric versions of the WB2000 Series Clock. The steps in this topic are not required for non- biometric versions of the WB2000 Series Clock.

If you have biometric clocks, you must configure a check box on the Employee Badge Detail page so that you can mark some employees as biometric users.

To configure the check box:

  1. Select Turn ON Config Mode from the OPTIONS drop-down list.
  2. Click the orange diamond icon next to Empbdg Flag 3.
  3. Select CheckboxUI from the Field UI drop-down list.
  4. Click Save.

    Now that the field is displayed, you can set up employee badge numbers.

    Note: The Empbdg Flag 3 field can be used in most cases, unless custom functionality is already using this flag for some other purpose. You can use any flag field on the Employee Badge Detail page. However, the flag must match the wbsynch.apping.EMPLOYEE.bio = EB EMPBDG_FLAG3 setting in the settings.conf file. This file is stored in the WBCS\conf directory on the WBCS. The flag number in the settings.conf file must match the flag used in these steps.
