Enabling the Backup Battery on the Clock

The 8000 Series clock ships with the battery backup turned off by default. To enable the backup battery, the jumper on the back of the clocks will need to be moved from the off position to the on position.

Note: For the 8200 Series clocks that use GPRS, the backup battery is enabled by default and is built-in to the clock (there is no on/off switch). The battery typically lasts 2-3 hours depending on usage. A power switch for the backup battery can be added, but requires a custom order from the clock manufacturer. Contact your Infor Support representative for more information.

To enable the backup battery on the 8000 Series clock:

  1. Locate the jumper on the back of the clock terminal as shown here next to the microSD slot. The jumper is currently on the 1 and 2 pins in the off position:

  2. Remove the jumper from the 1 and 2 pins (off position) and place the jumper on the 2 and 3 pins (on position) as shown here:

  3. You can now plug in the clock to charge the backup battery.
