Employee-specific minimum and maximum hours

Each individual employee can have a minimum or maximum numbers of hours that they can be scheduled in their employee profile. Certain Auto-Assignment rules can be configured with the Use employee specific values option to respect employee-specific minimum and maximum hours. When schedules are generated, these rules ensure that each employee gets a schedule that satisfies their minimum hours and does not exceed their maximum hours. Employee-specific minimum and maximum hours can apply for a single day or the entire Auto-Assignment period, depending on the rules and options selected.

These fields in the employee profile specify the minimum and maximum hours for each employee:
Max Hours / Assignment Period
Specifies the maximum number of hours that the employee can be scheduled to during the entire Auto-Assignment period.
Min Hours / Assignment Period
Specifies the minimum number of hours that the employee must be scheduled to during the entire Auto-Assignment period.
Max Hours / Day
Specifies the maximum number of hours that the employee can be scheduled to during a single day.
Min Hours / Shift
Specifies the minimum number of hours for shifts that can assigned to the employee.

Employee-specific minimum and maximum hours are typically included as part of the employee import. They also can be manually specified or updated in the Employee sub-form of the Employee maintenance form. Employees must be associated with a location to populate these fields.
