Schedule locks and Auto-Assignment
Auto-Assignment processes lock employee schedules. This prevents users or other features
from altering the schedule during schedule generation. The system locks schedules during the
Auto-Assignment period for all employees selected by the Auto-Assignment group filters. Locks
are applied when the Auto-Assignment process is initiated and are removed when the finished
schedule is generated.
Locked employees cannot be scheduled using Auto-Assignment. Users are warned when initiating an Auto-Assignment process if any selected employees are locked for any days during the Auto-Assignment period. The user may cancel the Auto-Assignment process to address the employee locks. For example, the user could approve pending time off requests to unlock employees before starting the Auto-Assignment process. Or, the user can continue the Auto-Assignment process and exclude the locked employees.
