Step 1: Configuring the migration environment

You can configure the data migration environment in the WFM source instance where you plan to select the functional objects or tables that you will migrate to the WFM target environment.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Data Migration > Migration Environment.
  2. Click Create New Entry to create a new migration environment or Edit to modify an existing environment.
  3. Specify this information:
    Name
Name of the migration environment. A migration environment is a configuration that allows you to send configuration data from a source instance of WFM to a target instance of WFM. You can configure multiple migration environments.
    Description
    Description of the migration environment.
    Folder Path
Specify the location on the target environment/instance of WFM to send the migration file.
    Public Key
The PGP public key that you generated on the target environment/instance of WFM. For more information on how to do this, see Generating the PGP public key for a data migration.
    Active
Specify whether the environment is active or inactive.
    Allow Migration
Select this option to allow the user to run the migration on the target instance. If this option is not selected, the user on the target instance of WFM can only view the migration.
    SFTP Config
Specify the File Transfer Endpoint or target environment where you will send the data migration file. This is configured in WFM and allows the source instance of WFM to send the data migration file to a specified location on the target instance of WFM.

For more information on how to configure a File Transfer Endpoint in WFM, see "Configuring a File Transfer Endpoint" in the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide.

  4. Click Save.
