Infor HR Talent

Infor HR Talent is the system of record for employee information and other key data (team, job, skills, etc.) consumed by Workforce Management. Below is a list of Workforce Management interfaces that are used to import this information into Workforce Management. This integration is point-to-point (P2P), so it is file based. Job Scheduler tasks have been defined to provide these interface tasks out of the box and ready for use. These tasks can then be modified as required to bring across additional information between the two systems, change the frequency of the tasks, and so on.

Note: The Employee Interface layout is now used instead of the HCM Employee Interface layout.

Currently, Infor HR Talent supports these standard Workforce Management import interfaces:

  • Employee Import
  • Employee Skill Interface Layout (this layout is used instead of Employee Import to import skills and is a subset of the Employee Import)
  • Skill Import
  • Job Import
  • Team Import
  • Employee Work Type
  • Employment Type

As with all interfaces, the sequence is important so that specific data is already in the system when another interface makes a reference to it. As such, Employee Work Type, Employment Type, Job, Team, and Skill imports must be completed first, followed by the Employee and Employee Skill imports.

For more information on these Workforce Management import interfaces, see the Infor Workforce Management Time and Attendance Implementation and Administration Guide. This guide is available on Infor Xtreme.

Transfer Method

For the integration between Workforce Management and Infor HR Talent, SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol, also known as Secure File Transfer Protocol) is set up and used to transfer the files between the products. The Job Scheduler tasks that process the files from Infor HR Talent have been predefined and are automated, with each client able to modify them as required.

On the FTP server, a specific folder structure is predefined for the Infor HR Talent files that are to be imported into Workforce Management. These folders are created under /interfacefiles to receive the files from the respective imports:

  • /employee
  • /employee_skill
  • /employee_work_type
  • /employee_type
  • /job
  • /skill
  • /team

Both Infor HR Talent and Workforce Management are pre-configured to use this folder structure for the integration and pass files between the systems.

Note: Different folders can be used instead, but both products would have to be updated accordingly. For Infor HR Talent, you would modify where the file will be placed. For Workforce Management, you would modify where the file will be picked up from.
