Configuring the Respect Break feature

With the Respect Break feature, the application automatically creates any breaks that are specified in shift definitions. The break time can be accounted for by either:

  • Adding break hours to the total hours. For an employee who works eight hours of a shift that specifies a one hour break, the system generates four hours of work, one hour of break, and then four hours of work.
  • Subtracting break hours from the total hours. For an employee who works eight hours of a shift that specifies a one hour break, the system generates three and a half hours of work, one hour of break, and then three and a half hours of work.

To add break hours to the total hours, set the WTS_DISCOUNT_HOURS registry parameter to False. To subtract break hours from the total hours, set the WTS_DISCOUNT_HOURS registry parameter to True.

See the Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide.
