Adding nodes to the workspace

These procedures use the Safety Glove Request workflow as an example of how to add and configure the workplace nodes that are required to complete the Safety Request.

To add workplace nodes:

  • Employee node
  • Safety Glove Request Process node

To add an Employee node to the current workflow:

  1. From the Template Palette, click to highlight the Employee node icon.
  2. In the workspace, click where you want to place the node.
  3. The node is displayed in the workspace.

To set the parameters for the Employee node:

  1. In the workspace, select the Employee node.
  2. The node is highlighted and the properties for the Employee node appear in the Property Inspector.
  3. From the Property Inspector, set the properties Values for the Role node as follows:


To set the node as the Start Node within the workflow:

  1. Select the node.
  2. Click to assign the currently selected node as the Start Node. A small check box is displayed in the bottom left corner of the node indicating that the node is the start node. The start node is the node that begins the workflow. Only one start node can exist per workflow.

To add the Accepted node to the current workflow:

  1. From the Template Palette, select the Accepted node icon.
  2. In the workspace, click where you want to place the node. The node is displayed in the workspace.

To add the Rejected node to the current workflow:

  1. From the Template Palette, select the Rejected node icon.
  2. In the workspace, click where you want to place the node. The node is displayed in the workspace.

To add the Safety Glove Request node to the current workflow:

  1. From the Template Palette, select the Safety Glove Request node icon.
  2. In the workspace, click where you want to place the node. The node is displayed in the workspace.
  3. Drag and drop the workflow nodes to arrange them as follows:
