Property Inspector

Each control type in the Controls Toolbox is identified by a set of properties. When a Field control is selected in the workspace, the control’s properties appear in the Property Inspector. Each of these properties is editable when you are designing the form.

Select the Up or Down arrow located between the Property Inspector and Toolbox panels, to maximize or minimize the Property Inspector or Toolbox vertically. Select the Up arrow to view the Property Inspector only and to hide the Toolbox. Conversely, select the Down arrow to view the Toolbox only and to hide the Property Inspector.

Alternately, to resize the Toolbox, Property Inspector, or workspace, click and drag the appropriate borders.

Note:  A control property that is displayed in red represents a previously used, or deprecated, method for performing a task. Usually, an updated control property can perform the same task more efficiently than the control property that is marked in red.

For example, the data source control properties Parameter and Type appear in red, while Source Parameters and Source Type appear in black. The color coding indicates that you should use the Source Parameters and Source Types control properties, rather than Parameter and Type control properties, to perform the same task.
