Linking employees to locations

You must link employees to the locations in which they work. The rule compares the state minimum wage of their location with the federal minimum wage that is specified in the rule's parameter.

To link an employee to a location:

  1. Select Maintenance > Employees > Employee.
  2. Click Edit next to an employee
  3. Navigate to the Employee Location section:
  4. Select the location to which you want to assign the employee from the Location lookup.
  5. Specify the time period you want to assign the employee to the location in the Start Date and End Date fields. If you know an employee is changing locations in the future, specify the last date the employee is in the employee's current location in the End Date field.
  6. Click Save.

You must repeat these steps for every employee the Minimum Wage Rule examines.
