Configuring the Holiday Assignment Parameters page

Holidays are assigned in these ways:

  • By individual holiday using the Holiday field
  • By holiday calendar using the Holiday Calendar field
  • By individual holiday and holiday calendar using the Holiday and Holiday Calendar fields
Note: Holidays can also be manually assigned on an ad hoc basis if needed by using the employee holiday override that is available on the Daily Timesheet. Such activity is usually reserved for testing or “one off” situations in which the defined automated process is insufficient for a particular employee. See Employee holiday overrides.

The Holiday and Holiday Calendar fields must be configured for the Holiday Assignment Parameters page through the registry.

To configure the Holiday Assignment Parameters page:

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Registry Maintenance > System > WORKBRAIN_PARAMETERS > HOLIDAY.
  2. Select the fields that you want to display on the Holiday Assignment Parameters page as follows:
    • Select the HOLIDAY_ASSIGNMENT_USE_CALENDAR registry to display the Holiday Calendar field.
    • Select the HOLIDAY_ASSIGNMENT_USE_HOLIDAY registry to display the Holiday field.

    For each field that you select, a Variable Selected pane is displayed.

  3. In the Variable Selected pane, click Edit.

    The properties for the selected variable are displayed in a Edit Variable section in the lower part of the Variable Selected pane.

  4. In the Variable Value field, specify True to display the field or False to hide the field.
  5. Click Save.
