Skill qualifications for MVS shift trades

Shift trade requests for MVS shifts are validated for mandatory skill requirements. Shift trade requests are rejected when the selected substitute employee does not have one or more mandatory skills that are required by the shift. Shift trade requests are also rejected when the substitute employee does not meet or exceed the required proficiency level for one or more mandatory skills.

Employees that do not meet the mandatory skill requirements for a posted shift can see the shift in their list of available shifts. But, an employee's bidding request is rejected if they do not meet the shift's mandatory skill requirements.

Shift trade requests are not validated for non-mandatory skills. Shift trades are allowed when substitute or bidding employees do not possess, or meet the required proficiency level for, one or more non-mandatory skills, as long as the employee satisfies the job and mandatory skill qualifications.
