Schedule Compliance

The Schedule Compliance module ensures that the schedule is validated when employees trade or take shifts.

In this chapter, employees who post a shift to trade are called Posters and employees who bid on a posted shift are called Bidders. Also, a supervisor, as mentioned in the text of this chapter, is always the supervisor of the bidder.

Depending on the rules and filters that apply to the shift trade, Schedule Compliance may return one or more error or warning violations. Even one error violation will reject the shift trade. Only warning violations can be approved or rejected by the supervisors and viewed by the employee. Also, if the supervisor rejects any of the Schedule Compliance warnings, the shift trade is rejected. The supervisor must either reject the trade or approve all warnings to accept the shift trade.

If the supervisor rejects the shift trade, the shift trade remains posted unless it is part of a pre-determined shift trade.
