Manager shift posting

Manager shift posting allows managers, or other personnel that manage scheduling, to reduce understaffing by posting open shifts that employees can claim. Enabling manager shift posting allows users to post unassigned shifts to the Shift Billboard from the scheduling screens, such as the ASV in MVS and the LFSO Schedule screen. Unassigned shifts can be posted if they belong to a team that is allowed to post to at least one billboard group. Users are not required to be members of any specific security group to perform manager posting, but they must have permission to access the post to billboard option on the required scheduling screen. Manager posted shifts must pass the basic validations and must complete the shift posting workflow before the shifts are made available on the billboard.

Employees may claim manager posted shifts from the ETM or from mobility. When an employee claims a shift, the shift is added to their schedule, assuming that the claim passes the basic validations and completes the shift claiming workflow. Custom workflows can be designed to add additional validation or approval steps when managers post a shift or when employees claim a manager posted shift.
