Calculations

The SAW and the Daily Timesheet modules are tightly integrated. The same widget is used to calculate the hours and dollars in both modules.

For more accurate costing, you can change the SAW schedule cost calculation to work with pay rules that are configured for the employee in a calculation group by configuring the SAW_LFSO_PAY_RULE_BASED_SCHED_COST_CALC registry parameter.

See SAW_LFSO_PAY_RULE_BASED_SCHED_COST_CALC.

The calculations are done on a daily basis for each employee. The Sched $ and Worked $ values shown in the summary column are calculated as the sum of values for each individual day shown in the SAW. If there are no differences between scheduled and worked times, then both the Sched $ and Worked $ values will be the same.

Note: For both the scheduled hour and scheduled cost values, only shifts with a status of "P" (published) or "C" (common) are included in the calculations. Unpublished schedules or shifts are not included when calculating schedule cost or hours to be consistent with the scheduled shifts seen in the timesheet.
