Creating a report

You can launch the Cognos Analytics - Reporting tool from the Workforce Management application to create custom reports. Infor provides a sample report template with a pre-built report layout.

  1. Select Maintenance > System Administration > Toolkit > Workforce Performance - Report Authoring.
    The Reporting page is displayed in a new browser tab.
  2. Click Cancel and dismiss any notifications in the reporting tool.
  3. Click Team content > Custom Reports > Sample Report Template > ... > Edit report.
  4. Follow the prompts as needed.
  5. Click the arrow next to Save and select Save as.
  6. Specify a report name and navigate to a public folder to save the report in.
    Note: Infor has several requirements about where to save new custom reports and core reports that you have modified. New custom reports and modified core reports must be saved in the provided Custom Reports folder and not in the core report folder of Infor WFM Reports. It is especially important that you do not overwrite the existing core reports with your modified reports.
  7. Click Save.
After you have created the report:
  • Use the Cognos Analytics - Reporting tool to create the report according to your specifications. For an example showing how to create a basic report using the WFMStandard package, see Creating a simple report.

  • When you are finished creating your report, save the report and register it in the Workforce Management application to make it available to other users. See Registering reports.
