Labor Forecasting and Schedule Optimization

Tipping functionality has been added to Workbrain 4.1. This enables employers to keep track of tipped versus not-tipped jobs and the tip amounts employees receive working at those jobs. Employees enter their tip amounts using the timesheet or ETM, or they are automatically passed to the Workbrain system from a Point of Sale (POS) system.

Users can specify up to five staff groups to add to the schedule. Each staff group can be given a preference value that determines the priority given to the group when an optimized schedule is being created. Each staff group has its own shift rules and break rules that are followed during optimization.

Day parts were added to department forecasts to enable users to view the distributions for specific periods within a day.

A new “Find” feature has been added to the Shift Assignment window used when adding new shifts or editing existing shifts. Clicking Find opens the Staff Search window, which can be used to search through employees and filter the results by staff groups, jobs, locations, skills, and employee availability.

Schedules created in Labor Forecasting and Schedule Optimization can be viewed in the Coverage Schedule.
