Holiday Calendar Enhancement

The holiday calendar assignment process was enhanced to link the holiday calendar to the employee (the link occurs at the calc group level). A new task was also added to the application, which runs the holiday assignment process for the dates and calc groups specified, at the frequency specified in the Job Scheduler. This feature will allow holiday assignments to be more easily maintained in the event that one client has a variety of holiday dates for a holiday or different holidays by location.

The Holiday Assignment Task via the Job Scheduler

Using the Job Scheduler to assign holidays allows the user to assign holidays (either standard individual holidays or using the holiday calendars) at certain times or intervals and to only process the assignment at a specified number of days after the assignment day (i.e., if the holiday assignment date was Dec. 1, and the Days to Process field is 7, then holiday assignments are only performed for holidays falling on Dec 1- Dec 7).
