Cloud deployment modes

Commercial Cloud and GovCloud deployment modes have been introduced in Workforce Management release 6.4.0. The deployment mode is selected by adding JVM parameters to the WFM application server and job scheduler configuration. Both cloud deployment modes are managed by Infor Cloud Operations.

Commercial Cloud mode is used for cloud deployments of WFM that are hosted on AWS. This mode is appropriate for WFM customers in the private sector, or for public-sector customers that do not require FedRAMP compliance.

GovCloud mode is used for cloud deployments of WFM that are hosted on AWS GovCloud. This mode is suited to customers such as government agencies or contractors. Operating WFM in this mode ensures that all security and audit features that are required for deployment in AWS GovCloud are enabled. Some functionality is disabled in GovCloud mode.

The term Legacy mode is used in documentation to refer to on-premises WFM deployments or cloud deployments using pre-6.4.0 configurations. Legacy on-premises and cloud configurations are fully supported, but customers may get some advantages from migrating to the new deployment modes.

See the Infor Workforce Management Cloud Implementation Guide for details on how to enable cloud deployment modes and the features available in each mode.
