Schedule Details Panel

The Schedule Details panel displays the schedule details for the selected cell (that is, staffed shift, unstaffed shift, or unassigned employee) within the main Schedule panel.

The Schedule Details panel is where the MVS schedule details are manipulated. The Schedule Details panel enables you to modify shift information, assign employees to unstaffed shifts, remove currently-scheduled employees, further break down activities/labor metrics to be performed within a shift, and perform other advanced scheduling tasks.

There are four tabs available in the Schedule Details panel, which are available to you depending on the item selected in the schedule:

  • Assignment - allows you to find eligible employees to staff a shift, view schedule and/or availability information (on the Schedule tab), as well as view contact information for an employee and enter comments (on the Status tab). When an employee has multiple availability entries for a single day, the availability cell on the Schedule tab will display an ellipsis (...) due to space limitations. Hovering your mouse over the cell displays a tooltip containing the availability information. If the employee has more than two availability entries, then view the employee’s Availability Calendar to see all of the employee’s availability information.
  • The Schedule tab can be configured in the following ways using parameters:
    • To display the employee’s schedule only, availability only, or both. (SHOW_ELIGIBLE_AVAILABILITY and SHOW_ELIGIBLE_SCHEDULE)
    • To display either the entire week or just three days, in the form of yesterday/today/tomorrow (EDIT_PANEL_VIEW_DURATION)

For information about these registry parameters, see the Registry Parameter Reference Guide.

  • Details - allows you to specify the fine details of a shift, such as assigning breaks, activities, time codes, departments, and so on.
  • The rows of activities/labor metrics in the Details tab can be extended indefinitely by clicking the + Add Row link.
  • Emp. Info - allows you to view employee information such as the employee’s ID, first and last names, FTE, and phone number.
  • Compliance - allows you to view warning and error details resulting from violated rules associated with the Schedule Compliance module. The configured violation messages, either error or warning messages (as indicated by the icon displayed in the selected cell), are displayed for each rule that is violated.

For more information about this module, see Schedule Compliance. For more information about schedule compliance rules, see the Schedule Compliance Implementation and Administration Guide.
