ST from under the ST heading

By selecting this option, you can only generate unassigned shifts. The unassigned shifts can be used for one of these purposes:

  • Send to Relief Queue
  • Create as unpublished shifts
  1. Click Next.
  2. Select an option under the Generate Options heading:
    Generate unassigned shifts
    • Send to Relief Queue

The shifts are created and sent to the Relief Queue. This creates all the shifts in the shift template, even if the team has existing shifts during the specified schedule period.

See Viewing and managing unplanned workloads.

    • Create as unpublished shifts

Shifts are added to the schedule to fill any gaps between the number of shifts in the shift template and the team's existing schedule. For example, the shift template has three DAY shifts for the clerk position on each day, but on Tuesdays in the schedule period, one DAY shift is already assigned to a clerk. When the schedule is generated, two clerk DAY shifts are added on Tuesdays, and three are added on other days. The shifts can be assigned in the Advanced Schedule View or through Self-Scheduling.

  3. Click Generate.
  4. A warning message is displayed if the shift template has already been generated for any of the selected dates. Click OK to regenerate the shift template or click Cancel.
Regenerating a shift template with the Send to Relief Queue option generates an additional copy of all the shifts defined in the template. Regenerating with the Create as unpublished shifts option replaces any shifts that may have been deleted since the shift template was originally generated.
Shifts from the shift template are generated based on the selected option.
