Inactivating a Master Rotation

You can inactivate a published Master Rotation (MR) if needed due to organizational or operational changes. An inactivated MR stops generating employee schedules from the specified inactivation date. An inactivated MR can still be edited to modify the schedule before the inactivation date. New row versions can only be activated if their effective dates are before the inactivation date.
Note: Inactivating an MR removes all shifts after the inactivation date. After the inactivated MR is processed, these shifts are removed from the ASV and from the assigned employees' timesheets.
  1. Select Scheduling > Multi-view Scheduler > Master Rotation > Manage Master Rotation.
  2. Click Edit for the MR you would like to inactivate.
  3. Select the date range you would like to view and click Go.
  4. Click Inactivate.
  5. Select the date when the MR will become inactivated in the Inactivation Date field.
  6. Click Submit.
The MR is inactivated after the specified inactivation date. All shifts are removed from the MR schedule starting on the specified inactivation date.
  7. Click Process to publish the MR.
When the MR is processed, all inactivated shifts are removed from employees timesheets. The inactivation date of the MR is displayed in the Manage Master Rotation page.
