Security permissions

The mobility application uses both page and field level security to determine the level of access (Edit, View, and Deny) a security group is granted to a specific page, element, or action. Page and field level security work together to determine what is presented to the user.

If page security is not set or set to Deny, you cannot access the page and field security does not apply.

If page security is set to View, you can access the page and access to fields is controlled using these permissions:

  • Deny: Field is not displayed.
  • View: Field is read-only.
  • Edit: Field is read-only.
  • No setting: Field is read-only.

If page security is set to Edit, you can access the page and access to fields is controlled using these permissions:

  • Deny: Field is not displayed.
  • View: Field is read-only.
  • Edit: Field is in edit mode.
  • No setting: Field is in edit mode.

Page level security is set up in the desktop application.
