Enabling offline clocking

To allow employees to record clocking events while offline, you can enable offline clocking. When offline clocking is enabled, employees can record real-time clocking events from the offline page if no connection is available. All of the clock presets displayed as buttons on the Clock widget are also available on the offline page.

Note:  After an upgrade, users must have logged in at least once for the clock buttons to be displayed on the offline page.

To record an offline clock, users must confirm their username and select the appropriate clock. These offline clocks are stored in the local storage of the user's browser until a connection has been re-established. When the connection has been re-established, any offline clocks are converted to pending clock transactions for processing by the system.

To enable offline clocking, set the ALLOW_OFFLINE_CLOCKING registry parameter to true. By default, the registry parameter is set to false (offline clocking is disabled).

For details, see "ALLOW_OFFLINE_CLOCKING" in the Infor Workforce Management Registry Parameter Reference Guide.
