System administration

There are several system administration items that provide you the flexibility to customize and maintain your translated material:

  • Language page (Maintenance > System Administration > Language) is used to change the connection between the language and the languageā€™s locale. You can also use this feature to export and import translations to customize the translated content. See Exporting and importing data for translation.
  • Maintenance forms (Maintenance > System Administration > Maintenance Forms) can be translated for specific languages. You can also use the MFRM Data Localization child maintenance form to translate the name and description of each maintenance form. See Localizing maintenance form names and descriptions.
  • Error translation (Maintenance > System Administration > Data Localization > Error Translation). You can customize the translation of specific error messages for a specific language. See Translating error messages.
  • Language translation (Maintenance > System Administration > Data Localization > Language Translation). You can use this feature to customize the translation of a table for a specific language. See Customizing the translation of a table for a specific language.
  • Table localization (Maintenance > System Administration > Data Localization > Table Localization). You can use this feature to specify which data localized tables are displayed as translated in the system after you load the language pack (using data localization). See Activating table localization.

Some areas of the application have not yet been internationalized, including:

  • Form Builder
  • Workflow Editor
  • Online Help

Due to performance considerations, the SO_SCHEDULE_GROUP table (which contains details that are specified on the LFSO Location/Department page) is not internationalized.
