Using Administration Console to connect to WBCS

To run the Administration Console and connect to WBCS:

  1. Launch Admin Console on your operating system.
  2. Select Connect to a new server from the Connect menu. You can also connect to an existing server that you have previously saved.
  3. Specify the WBCS machine’s hostname/IP address in the Server field. You might have to provide the port number of the WBCS service, if the port has been changed from the default port of 1500.
<clock server hostname or IP address>:<port>

The Admin Console may take some time to connect.

  4. You can also select from these options:
    • Secured Connection: Select this check box if you have configured an SSL connection for the Admin Console connection to WBCS. For more information on how to configure this, see Configuring Administration Console for a secure connection.
    • Save Connection: Select this check box to save the connection information on this dialog for a future connection to WBCS using Admin Console.
  5. Click OK.

Only one Admin Console should be connected to one WBCS at a time.

  6. Next, specify the User ID and Password for WBCS. If you don't know the credentials for the clock, you may need to ask your administrator for this information.
The default credentials for WBCS is:
    • User ID: consoleadmin
    • Password: !nf0rT!m8
Note: For security reasons, Infor recommends changing the default user and password for the WBCS in your deployment. For more information on how to do this, see Changing the Admin Console user ID, password, and session timeout for WBCS.
  7. Click OK to connect to WBCS.
  8. Once connected, you can navigate the settings in Admin Console using the various tabs on the left.
Note: The default session timeout is 5 minutes. You will be required to log in again if your Admin Console session expires. To change this value, see Changing the Admin Console user ID, password, and session timeout for WBCS.
