Cloud deployment modes overview

Multiple deployment modes are available for Workforce Management to support customers with different requirements. Understanding these deployment modes helps to identify the steps that are required to setup a particular deployment and the WFM features available in each deployment mode.

Commercial Cloud mode is used for cloud deployments of WFM that are hosted on AWS. Deployments in this mode are managed by Infor Cloud Operations. This mode is used for WFM customers in the private sector, or for public-sector customers that do not require FedRAMP compliance.

GovCloud mode is used for cloud deployments of WFM that are hosted on AWS GovCloud. The GovCloud consists of regions in AWS that comply with the FedRAMP program requirements defined by the US Federal Government. This mode is suited to customers that require Cloud Service Offerings (CSOs) to be FedRAMP certified, such as government agencies or contractors. Operating WFM in GovCloud mode ensures that all necessary security and audit features are enabled. Some functionality is disabled in GovCloud mode. WFM deployments in this mode are also managed by Infor Cloud Operations.

Legacy mode refers to WFM deployments that are deployed on premises or in the cloud using pre-6.4.0 configurations. Legacy cloud configurations are fully supported, but customers may get some advantages from migrating to the new deployment modes. On-premises customers can take advantage of some of the features described in this guide. Contact Infor Support for details.
