Configuring the WFM Application

In this step, you configure components of the WFM application to work with the WB6000 so that appropriate data is transferred between the clock and application. The components form this hierarchy:

  • One clock reader server type and clock reader server for one or more WB6000 Series Clocks.
  • At least one reader group for a group of clocks. Reader groups link the clocks in a similar physical location to all the employees who use them to punch in and out. Several reader groups are common practice for security and performance considerations.
  • One clock reader in the application for every WB6000 Series Clock installed.

Configuring the WFM application for clocks involves these high-level tasks:

  • Adding a clock reader server.
  • Adding reader groups.
  • Adding clock readers.
  • Setting up employees to use the WB6000
  • Assigning time codes.
  • Assigning labor metrics.
