Creating or Updating the Budget Import Interface Task

On the Budget/Forecast Import Interface Parameters page for the corresponding INTERFACE TASK:

• In the State field, set the state of the imported reference budget to Locked. This setting prevents the need to change the state of the budget to Locked on the Worksheet after importing it.
• In the Layout field, select the correct type of layout for the budget to import. This selection does not always correspond to the type of plan you are generating:
  • If you are importing a bottom-up projection to use as a reference budget, select a bottom-up layout. For bottom-up layout descriptions, see Worksheet Columns in the Budget Creation Module.
  • If you are importing a top-down budget, select a top-down layout. You import a top-down budget to use as part of the solicitation process in the Budget Management module or to use as a reference budget for any generated plan.
