Shift rules for 24-hour or overnight scheduling

Shift rules can be used to schedule locations that have 24-hour or overnight scheduling requirements. Shift rules can be created to generate shifts that start at any time of day. To create a shift rule that can create shifts at any time of day, the both the earliest start time and latest start time should be set to 12:00AM (00:00 in 24-hour time).

Shift rules can also be created with a start time window where shifts can start either before or after midnight. The rule of thumb to follow is that the start time windows cannot overlap between different shift rules. For example, a shift rule that can be created for shifts starting between 11:00PM and 3:00AM. The start time windows must be between 3:01AM and 10:59PM for all other shift rules in the Auto-Assignment Group.
