Accessing Clock Information

Clock Information provides important configuration information regarding the clock.

Note: The function keys in this procedure can vary depending on the configuration of your clock.

To access clock information:

  1. Press More (F8) > Clock Information (F5) on the clock screen to display the Clock Information screen.
  2. The Clock Information screen will display this information:
    OS Version:
The clock’s vendor operating system version.
    Software Version:
    The clock’s Infor application version.
    Configuration Version:
The clock’s configuration version, which is specific to the Infor application on the clock.
    Reader Name:

The clock’s reader name as configured in the settings file or the clock’s database.

The Reader Name is read from either the settings file or the clock database. These conditions define how the reader name is displayed:

    • Reader Name

The clock has connected to the WFM application and successfully matched the settings file reader value with the WFM application. The reader name has been downloaded to the clock database. The value is displayed from the clock database.

    • Reader Name + *

The value is read from the settings file because the value in the clock’s database is empty. This condition occurs when the clock has not connected to the WFM application or when the reader has not been defined in the WFM application.

    • Reader Name + !

There is a reader name mismatch between the settings file and the clock’s database. This condition occurs if the value in the clock’s database existed but the settings file was later changed.

    • Blank

The reader name is missing from both the settings file and the clock's database. The reader name should be configured in the settings file so that the clock can connect to the WFM application.
