Applying Clock Configuration Updates

To apply a clock configuration update:

  1. Create a staging directory such as update.prep.
  2. Create a conf and/or resources directory in the staging directory.
  3. If adding or modifying settings in settings.conf, create a new settings.conf file that only contains the custom settings. Place this settings.conf file in the update.prep/conf directory.
  4. For any other files in the conf or resources directory copy the new custom file(s) to the corresponding directory. The file names must match the original file being replaced. For example, logo.png to replace the Infor provided logo.png.
  5. Copy the staging directory (update.prep) to the current fix pack directory (update.a-b-c-d.dir) for the clocks to be updated.
  6. Rename the staging directory (update.prep) to remove prep and append a numeric value that is higher than the last update folder in the fix pack directory. For example, update.1.
  7. Based on where the update folders are placed, those specific clocks will automatically download and apply the configuration update on the next scheduled update as configured in each clock's settings.conf file.
