Employee Inquiries

You can look up employee information using the employee inquiry punch on the WB5500 Series Clock. Employee inquiries provide the following information:

  • Last punch displays the last time the clock reader received a successful punch from you.
  • Vacation balance displays the number of vacation days or hours you have.
  • Sick days balance displays the number of sick days you have.
  • Personal days displays the number of personal days you have.
  • Hours worked previous week.
  • Hour worked this week.
  • Scheduled hours displays your schedule for the next four days.

To perform an employee inquiry:

  1. Press Employee Inquiry. The following message is displayed:
    Employee inquiry
    Enter ID
  2. Specify your ID, swipe your badge, or scan your proximity badge.
  3. If your WB5500 Series Clock has been setup for fingerprint verification, place your finger on the scanner when prompted.

If your employee inquiry punch is successful the WB5500 Series Clock beeps twice, the LED beneath the keypad flashes green, and the message Last Punch is displayed.

  4. Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the information.

If your employee inquiry punch was unsuccessful the WB5500 Series Clock beeps three times, the LED beneath the keypad flashes red, and the invalid ID message is displayed. The clock reader does not recognize your ID or badge. Try punching again using these tips:

    • Ensure that you are specifying your ID correctly.
    • Ensure that you are swiping your badge properly.

If you receive the same error message, contact your supervisor.
