Reader Heads

The reader head on your clock controls how you perform clock punches. For every type of clock punch, such as punching in for work or out for a break, you need to identify yourself on the clock reader. You can identify yourself in one of the following ways:

  • Using the keypad, by specifying your ID when prompted.
  • Using the card reader, by swiping your badge or card through the reader when prompted. The barcode or magnetic stripe should face away from the keypad.
  • Using the proximity scanner, by pressing your key fob or badge against the scanner when prompted.
  • Using fingerprint or biometrics, type your ID using the keypad, when prompted. Then press your finger on the fingerprint scanner to verify your identity.
