Running the troubleshooting script

To run the troubleshooting script:

  1. Browse to the Troubleshooting page.
  2. Click the Run Troubleshoot Script link.

When the script runs, the script analyzes the clock’s configuration. The script reports on potential problems by flagging lines with a warning message. Empty or duplicate settings are flagged. Settings with inappropriate values, such as usernames that are left with their default values, are also flagged.

If the script cannot locate one of the .conf files, File does not exist is displayed. The missing file represents a serious problem. You must copy the missing file into this directory on the clock:

    ~admin/java/apps/wbcs/conf.

The troubleshooting script is automatically copied over when the clocks are updated to the 5.0.3.0 version. If the update fails or for some reason the script is not copied over to the WB5500, /bin/ sh: Can't open /mnt/hda1/admin/tools/logTroubleshoot.sh is displayed. Contact Product Support.

If the script halts or cannot complete, Could not complete command is displayed.
